Senior Director, Member Engagement

CME is Canada’s largest and most influential industry and trade association. Since 1871, its mandate has been to enhance the competitiveness and growth of Canada’s manufacturing sector, and help Canadian companies win business in markets around the world. The association champions the importance of manufacturing and exporting for Canadians and the Canadian economy by advocating on behalf of its members, drawing public attention to the achievements of Canadian companies, commenting on industrial and economic issues in the  media, and setting forth an ambitious vision for the future of manufacturing and international trade.

Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Senior Director of Member Engagement will be responsible for the development and execution of the national membership growth strategy, and will track and analyze trends and results of all membership sales functions and operations. The position will include supporting the Senior Leadership team on member initiatives, developing membership partnerships and services, building strategic business relationships, and providing a vision for all membership sales strategies and their execution. The Senior Director is also responsible for monitoring and evaluating membership services offered by each division, and working with divisional leaders to achieve appropriate sales targets, as well as working to reapply successful member strategies in other markets.

The successful candidate will bring 7– 10 years of experience in a sales or marketing leadership role within a stakeholder-based organization, ideally with 5+ years of experience in a senior management role. He or she will have strong experience in all aspects of sales, including membership growth strategies, account development, and business planning, with a demonstrated knowledge of developing and managing membership and sales matrices and analytics. The successful candidate will be a creative problem solver and a strong communicator, with exceptional relationship building skills with stakeholders internally and externally.
