Top 3 Recipients in Ontario
- The HELP Clean Water (Huron Elgin London Project for Clean Water) project receives $50M each from the Government of Ontario and the Building Canada Fund – Major Infrastructure Component. The project will provide a reliable source of safe, clean water to residents of Southwestern Ontario.
- Two new research projects receive $4M in funding from the federal Genomics Research and Development Initiative (GRDI). The first project focuses on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and will make food production safer by developing strategies that reduce bacterial and microbial resistance. The second projects, EcoBiomics, will explore how genomics can be used to sustain and enhance the health of soil and water systems.
- The Right To Play – Play for Prevention project receives $1.53M over five years from the federal government to help youth foster healthy habits. Right To Play – Play for Prevention is delivered in partnership with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, Microsoft, The Tim Horton Children’s Foundation, Sun Life Financial, Suncor and other organizations.
