Ring of Fire Progress Update Dec 14th @11:30 a.m.

The Empire Club of Canada will host an hybrid conversation with George Pirie, Ontario's Minister of Mines; Bruce Achneepineskum, Chief of Martin Falls Cornelius Wabasse, Chief of Webequie First Nation and Michael Fox, President/CEO of Indigenous Community Engagement (ICE). The discussion will regard a project where the government of Ontario, will work with Marten Falls First Nation and Webequie First Nation to construct and complete a series of road projects that would connect the two communities to the highway network and the area known as the Ring of Fire. Ontario's Ring of Fire is an area approximately 500 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay which offers a promising mineral development with long term projections into the production of chromite. The discussion will be moderated by Sal Rabbani, President, Board of Director for the Empire Club of Canada.
