The Ontario Association of Community Care Access Centres (OACCAC) advocates for better patient care and helps Community Care Access Centres (CCACs) develop innovative and cost-effective ways to provide people with the care they need. The OACCAC is a not-for-profit member and technology shared services organization that supports Ontario's 14 CCACs and their partners in providing high-quality home and community care to Ontarians across the province.
The government of Ontario has tabled legislation (Bill 41) which proposes to transfer the employees of the OACCAC to a new provincial agency corporation to provide services to the Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs). If passed, the transition will take place over the coming months and this will provide exciting new opportunities for the organization.
Reporting to the CEO, the position of Vice-President, Communications & Policy, will be a proven, effective and experienced policy and communications leader.

The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of professionals, assisting the organization, to clearly develop, communicate and advance its policies in support of the health sector across Ontario, fulfilling its strategic goals while building and maintaining effective relations with the current 14 CCACs, LHINs and other stakeholders.
The Vice-President will lead policy development based on sound research into pending and existing legislation and regulation that has implications for the home and community care and health sector, ensuring that positions are well articulated and effectively advanced.
