As per tradition, Ted Arnott is 'forced' to the speakers chair by NDP MPP Catherine Fife (left) and Liberal MPP Lucille Collard.
The Ontario legislature sat for the first time sine the provincial election 10 weeks ago. There are some new faces on the benches with both the NDP and the Liberals using interim leaders. One of the main orders of business was the election of a new speaker and the house voted to return conservative MPP Ted Arnott to the speakers chair over Premier Ford's first choice, Nina Tangri.
