Mr. Pugsley brings 17 years as Program Manager with the Ontario Trillium Foundation and 27 year of experience in the non-profit sector while Mr. Miller bring 28 years of senior corporate, non-profit and political engagements to Gladstone Consulting. Mr. John Pugsley's career includes 17 years as Program Manager with the Ontario Trillium Foundation. In this role at the foundation he consulted with agencies and managed the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of regional grants.
John brings over 27 years’ experience in the non-profit sector working with a variety of Sports and Recreation, Arts and Culture, Human Service and Environmental Organizations. He has extensive experience in community and corporate engagement, public relations, financial management, governance, policy development, program development, facility management, event management and fundraising.
John has served on a number of government committees at the municipal and provincial levels. Active in the community he has served on a number of boards including:
- United Way of Simcoe Muskoka (Vice Chair);
- TO2015 PanAm Games Sport Organizing Committee (Chair, Mountain Bike);
- Greater Innisfil Chamber of Commerce (member);
- Durham College Sport Management Program Advisory Council (member).
John is currently the Chair of the Ontario Cycling Association. |

Mr. Carey Miller brings three decades of senior experience in client, campaign and project management, deploying services to some of the world's largest clients, including Warner Bros, Thomson, Allstate, BNS, Rogers, INTACT and Manulife. He brings business acumen and Best Practices to charities, non-profits, political and business campaigns, identifying fundraising, organizational and partnership opportunities.
Mr. Miller comes to Gladstone Consulting after completing several direct fundraising campaigns, exceeding all targets. He brings extensive involvement in Canadian politics, including as:
- Director of Data Operations for the Chrystia Freeland Federal Campaign;
- Director of Communications for the Ramesh Sangha Federal Campaign;
- Campaign Manager for the Steven Levitan Municipal Campaign;
- Director of Volunteer Operations for the David Soknacki Mayoral Campaign, and
- Director of Fundraising for the Joyce Murray Leadership Campaign.
Carey's business, professional services and fundraising experience assists clients in fundraising, organizational improvement and in leveraging relations with local, provincial and federal governments. |
